Hi there, I am sorry to hear about this problem. There are a few things I generally suggest for fatigue caused by fibromyalgia. You may find it helps to top up your nutrient intake, for example, as the likes of magnesium, iron, vitamin B12 and potassium are all known to support energy levels. Eating a fresh, varied diet should ensure you get enough nutrients but if you want a little extra support, a gentle supplement may be an option. Balance Mineral Drink contains magnesium, vitamin D, potassium, zinc and calcium so this is worth considering.
Other than this, exercise can be quite energising – even if it is just doing a little stretching throughout the day or turning up the speed on your daily walk! Staying hydrated is also really important for energy levels so keep your intake up and avoid too much caffeine (especially in the afternoon as it can linger in the system and prevent sleep later on!). Sugary, processed foods will also be detrimental to energy levels so leave the likes of biscuits and sweets out as much as possible in favour of home-made snacks like smoothies or crunchy veg sticks!
As for insomnia, a herbal remedy may be quite helpful, depending on how severe your symptoms are. Dormeasan is one I often recommend as it helps to achieve a more natural, restorative sleep due to the addition of Valerian & Hops. You can read our page on sleep aids for a little more information.
