I imagine you'd have mentioned any injury had you knocked your back, so I would go back and ask them to check that the pain is not due to a lung or heart condition.
Either of these can be felt in the left shoulder blade. In fact, pain from these sources is more precisely experienced between the shoulder blade and the centre of the upper back but it's better to rule these things out.
If these causes are indeed ruled out, then it might well be worth your while considering something like our Atrosan® Devils Claw tablets for any inflammation of the soft tissues, or our Ginkgo Biloba to improve circulation but these are both slower acting remedies best reserved for conditions that are ongoing, perhaps if things haven't improved after a month or so.
