RSI stands for Repetitive Strain Injury, and it indicates how an injury may have occurred, rather than specifying what the injury might be. So whilst a job that involves making the same physical movements on a daily basis may well be the cause of your injury, this doesn’t tell you what the injury is – whether it is an inflamed tendon or damaged cartilage, or something else.
You need to see your doctor to get a diagnosis of what that injury actually is.
In the meantime, it might be a good idea to talk to your employer about the physical demands of your job.
