There is some evidence and a body of opinion that low thyroid hormone production or activity and fibromyalgia are in fact one and the same thing.
The two conditions share many of the same symptoms. If you do feel cold, tired, headaches, joint pain, tummy upsets, niggles in the throat, low mood and poor concentration (there are more), you may want to take a thermometer and take your waking temperature on 3 mornings.
You must do this on the first 3 days of your period as hormones can influence body temperature. If the average of the 3 readings is 36 degrees C, rather than a healthy 37, I'd perhaps speak to your doctor about the results.
Best wishes
Earle
