It doesn't sound as if you have been diagnosed with a named health issue, so my advice is a little general but should help.
The first remedy to try is some Atrogel®, applied morning, noon and night. This should help ease the muscle pain temporarily so that you are less immobilised after periods of rest.
Please consider reducing tea, coffee, salt and sugar to a minimum and take a supplement of magnesium citrate if the experience spasms in the area.
If not, then some Dormeasan® drops taken in the evening would certainly aid sleep but also help both relax the muscle and ease the pain, two effects for which valerian has been used for traditionally.
I hope these measures help, please come back with any changes, good or otherwise.
Best wishes
Earle
