The most suitable herb, traditionally used to help low mood is St John's Wort. It is often called the 'Sunshine Herb' and can take 4-6 weeks to feel the effects. It is contraindicated with a wide range of medication, so if you are taking medication of any sort please speak to your GP or contact us again.
You might also like to consider the flower remedy, 'Mood Essence.' Flower essences help to balance emotions when we are feeling challenged. They are safe to take along side medication if needs be.
The blog I wrote last year about Seasonal Effective Disorder also offers tips for lifting mood.
