I am sorry to hear you are under such stress with the threat of staff cuts.
Do you have a colleague, a manager or an HR person at work who you feel is approachable and could listen to your concerns? Finding the right person to talk to and explore potential solutions can be a great way to begin to alleviate stress of this nature.
We can be fearful of expressing our concerns but often they are much worse when left unspoken and playing tricks with our minds.
I do appreciate your thoughts about going to a doctor. However, if you do decide to see your doctor I am sure they would respect your concerns and be guided by you as to which course of action you would like to take. They are there to support your health rather than risk making it worse.
Perhaps you might prefer to see a Medical Herbalist if not? They can take the time to run through your history and provide a protocol to support your specific needs without anything going on your medical record. To find a practitioner in your area visit: http://www.nimh.org.uk/
Other potential resources to think about are counselling (to look into the problems causing you stress) Life Coaching and NLP (to help find practical solutions that work for you (http://nlplifecoachdirectory.co.uk).
It is important to tackle stress before it leads to more complex problems both physically and mentally so I hope you find the route which works best for you.
