I am sorry to hear that your husband suffers with anxiety and that it impacts your relationship as well.
Our stress and anxiety pages, as well as our question and answering service, are designed simply to give tips to help relieve short term stress and anxiety and uplift those who are feeling temporarily low in mood.
For those who have been suffering longer term with anxiety, only a health care practitioner or a GP, who can consult with him in person, would be qualified to provide the appropriate level of support required.
There are all sorts of services available through this route such as one to one Counselling to help understand the route cause and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy which aims to address unhelpful and intrusive thoughts.
It may also be worth reviewing the medication with your GP if it is not helping sufficiently.
My only other suggestion would be to try a session with an NLP practitioner (http://www.lifecoach-directory.org.uk/content/nlp.html) if he would be willing to look at ways to respond differently to anxiety triggers and find solutions to move forward.
I do hope he finds the best type of support to suit his needs.
With best wishes
Marianna
