Sorry to hear that you are worrying about your health after having a heart by-pass 10 years ago.
When we have been through a traumatic event, it is natural to feel anxious about a recurrence of what we have been through or something similar e.g. other health conditions when we have been ill.
This only becomes a problem if, rather than a vague worry that troubles you from time to time, it causes regular unwanted thoughts that interfere with your day to day life in unhelpful ways. Pre-occupation with health concerns is now such a common problem that it is has a term to describe it, 'health anxiety.'
If this is causing you more concern than you feel is comfortable, you could talk to your GP about possibly having a course of CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) which helps to address unwanted thoughts and looks at ways to question the reality of what we are thinking.
NLP (Neuro Linguistic Progamming) is another option (not available through the NHS generally) which helps to 'reframe' unhelpful thought patterns through various methods and increase confidence.
