My instinct is that you are producing stress chemicals, such as adrenaline, in the evening. This then means that the chemicals that should make you drowsy at night cannot do their job with all that adrenaline keeping you awake.
Do you drink a lot of tea or coffee or eat a lot of sugar, especially in the afternoon? This would make things worse. Also, do you give yourself enough time to wind down at night? Strenuous or stressful activity in the hour or two before bed will make it hard to switch off.
Some people find it helpful to write down the things they are worrying about before bed or, for example, to write a 'to do' list so that you get things off your mind before bed.
I would suggest you try Passiflora Complex as well, taken once during the day and again about an hour before bed. The herbs in the complex, Passion flower and Avena Sativa, are well known herbs for calming the nervous system dealing with stress related symptoms. Another remedy you could try is our Night Essence. You could take both remedies together if you wanted to, in fact the combination should work very well.
I hope this helps
Amy
