Sorry to hear you are having trouble sleeping.
A traumatic event of any description, like a stroke, could easily disrupt your sleep patterns.
Because a stroke causes so many changes, and because you are also I assume now on medication that could be affecting you, I would talk to your doctor about the change in your sleep to see if they have any idea about what could be causing it.

Also avoid tea and coffee after 1pm.
