Having a good diet can be really beneficial in cases of endometriosis as part of the problem is inflammation. Avoid foods that can exacerbate inflammation, such as:
• Refined sugar
• Caffeine
• Animal fats
• Processed foods
Focus on getting more fresh fruit and veg which are rich in minerals, vitamins and antioxidants as these can help to combat inflammation. A diet rich in magnesium and iron can also help to support you through heavy, painful periods that can come along with endometriosis.
Many spices also have anti-inflammatory properties so you should try to include more of these into your cooking:
• Turmeric
• Ginger
• Cinnamon
