Unfortunately nausea is quite a common symptom around the time of your period. This often occurs as a result of fluctuating hormones.
As this is the first time this has occurred, it could be a sign that your hormones are changing slightly or it could be related to other factors such as diet or nutrition status, for example.
I often recommend tracking your periods and symptoms for at least 3 monthly cycles (recording the length of your cycle too – so how often you have a period) and then getting back in touch with some more information so we can help advise accordingly.
Best wishes,
Emma
