If bottle feeding your baby, or even combining bottle and breastfeeding, your periods can start up again as soon as 6 weeks after giving birth. Exclusive breastfeeding can often mean that your periods may take a little longer to reappear.
Also, it’s quite common for your period to appear heavier and / or more irregular at first – this is normally just until your hormones readjust.
