How your immune system is impacted during perimenopause and menopause

So, why are you more prone to getting colds and flu in perimenopause and menopause? Unfortunately, we know that all the hormonal disruption going on, and the stress that it puts on your body can negatively impact your immune system and make you more vulnerable to all the bugs that are going around. It can also take longer to get better.

It can also be due to stress. This can have a huge impact on your immunity, and pull you down. Your immune system can also suffer if your diet is not particularly good. We know, too, that poor sleep can affect immune function.

What can help?

So, what can you do to help yourself? Look at your stress levels and relax a little bit more. Check your diet to make sure that you're getting enough good nutrition.

And you can also take our Echinaforce Echinacea drops or tablets which are licensed for the relief of cold and flu symptoms. Echinaforce helps maintain the body's resistance by supporting the immune system.
