60 seconds in menopause video transcript:

We know that falling oestrogen in the perimenopause and menopause can have a huge impact on sleep. It can stop you getting off to sleep. You're tossing and turning for half the night. You might find that you keep waking io and get a very unrestful sleep. You might find that you're waking up at four, five o'clock in the morning and you just can get back off to sleep.

There are loads of things that you can do to help yourself. You can have a good snack before bed, protein and a (healthy) fat one such as an oatcake and nut butter or Greek yoghurt with some nuts and seeds.

Have a small shot glass of warm water just as you jump into bed to stop dehydration, especially if you're getting night sweats.

Have a good routine, so no phones, computers, tv for about an hour before you go to bed and you can try herbs such as Valerian and Hops like those that are in our sleep product Dormeasan.
