Driving anxiety during perimenopause

I can't afford to hate driving because I drive for my job, but I do find my driving is a very hormonal experience. I was never able to parallel park while I had my period, and I have over the years, during perimenopause, reached stages where my nerves have really bothered me while I've been driving. For example, coming up to a big roundabout, I'll get quite panicky and I just have to be really careful to strategize my way out of that because I need to drive.

I was talking to a girl the other day and she's having such driving anxiety now that she's having to go to a hypnotist. She told me that she was just driving along one day and all of a sudden, she just imagined herself crashing. She said it's totally rattled her and she's really scared now on motorways, and that it's quite debilitating.
