60 seconds in menopause video transcript:
This is one of the most asked questions that I get asked on a daily basis. How long does menopause last?
It's going to be unique for all of you. Every single one of you is going to have a very individual menopause.
There are three main stages. The first one is the perimenopause. For most women, this lasts about 3 years and this is where your monthly cycle may start to change or you may start to experience menopause symptoms.
Once you've not had any periods for 2 years if you're under 50, 1 year if you are over 50, that point is the menopause – that's stage number 2.
Stage number 3 is post menopause and this will continue forever afterward. Symptoms can keep going after the two years or the one year, but this time scale is more to do with indicating that you can no longer get pregnant.
To find out more about this you can head to my blog 'How long menopause lasts and what happens afterward'.
For perimenopause, menopause and postmenopause symptoms, you can try our Menopause Support tablets. This menopause supplement contains a combination of soy isoflavones, magnesium and hibiscus and can be used through all stages of the menopause.
