Perimenopause and its symptoms
Well for most of us, yes, perimenopause symptoms do eventually end. Perimenopause is just a temporary transition between regular periods and menopause - being period-free for one or two years.
The symptoms we experience during perimenopause and early menopause such as brain fog, tiredness, anxiety, and later hot flushes are due to erratic or falling hormone levels. It's puberty in reverse. The body has to make this major shift into a new way of being, and that involves finding new modes of regulation.
It's like moving house. It’s exhausting. It's stressful. There will be times when it seems like everything is up in a heap, but it can also be new and exciting, and women often feel great, energetic, and full of life when they settle into menopause, and when there are no more perimenopause symptoms or periods or tampons.
What can help?
This means getting enough rest, managing energy levels, and learning to recognise the signs of stress or anxiety.
Then you can strategise with things like a regular bedtime, balancing blood sugar levels, or finding the right relaxation hack or treatment, whatever works for you.
It's with this in mind that we've developed our Perimenopause Balance Multi-nutrient Drink for energy and Perimenopause Focus Passiflora Complex to give psychological and cognitive support during this time of great change.
