60 seconds in menopause video transcript:

Are acne breakouts common in the perimenopause and menopause? Yes, they are. It's amazing how many people get in touch with me absolutely horrified because their teenage acne has suddenly sprung up again. Or for some, it's the first time they've had it in their lives, in midlife. So, what is going on here? A lot of it is just due to the hormonal changes that are going on, our skin can't cope with it all.

It could be due to the fact that our livers are a little bit stressed, again because of hormonal changes. It can also be diet. Are you eating too many sweet things or salt or spicy things? It could be due to stress and also constipation.

So, the main thing here is to support your liver, so you can use herbs such as Artichoke and Dandelion and drink plenty of water and deal with the stress.
