You'll probably find that it takes a while to get over the operation, as it's quite a big one.
Once your ovaries are out, you will need HRT for a while so that you don't go straight into menopause - the symptoms of which would probably be just as distressing as those of your cycle, if you went into it so suddenly.
Then you can gradually come off the HRT over a period of 6-12 months, once you have stabilised.
So it's not a straightforward no-ovaries equals no-hassle, but the end of your symptoms is in sight!
