Has the doctor tested you for low iron or low thyroid? Both of these can appear in the menopause and affect hair growth.
If not it may be an idea to ask them just to rule it out.
In the meantime, you may find a hair supplement such as Hair Complex helpful, and also add in a calcium and magnesium supplement.
