I am 57 years old and I last had a period on the 28th of August 2013. I have had unprotected sex. Should I take the morning after pill?

You are not considered safe from pregnancy until you have not had a period for two years.

However, the older you are and the further through the menopause, the less likelihood of pregnancy but we do advise taking precautions until then.

In this case it may be advisable to ask your pharmacist as to whether it would be needed or not.
