Typically, women between the ages of 45-55 are the most likely to begin the menopause.
However, the menopause is more likely to occur earlier if you have female relatives who have also experienced going through the menopause at a younger age.
If you are in doubt though, it is always best to consult with your doctor. They can test your hormone levels, which may be able to give you a clearer idea as to what is going on.
Loss of libido though, is very common during the menopause.
There can be several things contributing to this; falling oestrogen is one of the main culprits but the hormonal changes that go on in the menopause puts a tremendous strain on the body.
Your energy levels often fall as well, which can be another influential factor. Low oestrogen can affect our mood too, so adding all these together it is no surprise!
You may find the herb Maca good for this as it is traditionally used for libido, energy and mood. It is not one of our products but just Google for more info.
I often recommend it for menopause issues which our remedies may not cover. You could also add in Menopause Support as this is traditionally used to help gently raise and balance oestrogen and you could use both if wished.
Acupuncture can also be really good for this as well so it might be worth looking into.
