background

I am 62 years old and was told by my GP that I was through the menopause without any symptoms other than hair loss, which has now re-grown. However all of a sudden I have started having hot flushes. This year I have lost 3stone 8lbs and was feeling great until these flushes as they are affecting my ability to exercise.

You won’t get the menopause the minute you turn 50! The average starting age is actually between 45 and 55 and it can often depend on a number of factors including hereditary, weight and health, however every single woman will have an individual menopause.
