The best thing that you can do is offer lots of support and understanding.
For women going through the menopause, it can be a very confusing and upsetting time as changes in hormonal levels can cause all sort of issues such as physical symptoms including; aches and pains, headaches, and fatigue.
It can also cause emotional distress, low mood, irritability, and this can often make them seem like a stranger!
So just being there and being empathetic is a huge plus! Also keep talking to her and asking how she is feeling and that will give you a clue as to what exact symptoms she is experiencing, and what other things she may need to help her through this time.
