Nervous tension and anxiety are frequently experienced during the menopausal years. There are plenty of things you can do to help yourself relax and reduce that horrible feeling inside.
Firstly, have a look at the natural remedy Stress Relief Daytime, which can take the edge of the anxiety. Then look at your diet and make sure that you aren't having much caffeine - cut down (or out!) on coffee, ordinary tea (herb teas are ok), and fizzy drinks that contain caffeine. Drink plenty of plain water throughout the day, but don't have much around meal times or it can make you feel bloated.
There are some really simple breathing exercises that you can do to calm yourself, such as counting to 3 as you breathe in and then counting to 3 again as you breathe out. Do this several times daily to calm your nervous system.
You may find a remedy such as Emergency Essence useful to have in your bag, as it can relax you very quickly if you're feeling anxious when out and about.
