Lowering oestrogen can have a marked effect on mood, there are several things that may be useful.
Fermented soya is known to help gently raise and balance oestrogen which can then in turn reduce symptoms.
I would also suggest a good female multi-vitamin with extra magnesium, magnesium is vital for the menopause, it is needed for mood, relaxation and sleep.
Daily relaxation is really important as well so do make sure that you have 30 minutes of 'me-time' every day - research has shown that this can reduce low mood and other menopause symptoms very quickly.
Low iron, low thyroid and low vitamin D can appear at this age and all can cause low mood, fatigue, and anxiety so it is a good idea to ask your doctor to test for these just to rule them out.
