Severe shock can cause hormonal change so it is possible. I would suggest trying Agnus castus, this is traditionally used to help regulate the menstrual cycle and reduce PMT symptoms such as irritability, mood swings and tender breasts. A cup or two of nettle tea daily may help as well. I would also suggest a magnesium supplement, magnesium is your ‘Happy Mineral’, it keeps your mood level, muscles relaxed and it helps to support your hormonal system.
