From about 45 years old onwards your hormonal balance can start to subtly change in preparation for the menopause.
These changes may not affect your periods for a while, but they can start to give other symptoms such as flushes, low mood, bloating, headaches, and PMS symptoms which you have not had before etc.
So this is what may be happening to you just now. These symptoms tend to be caused by a dip in oestrogen so, as long as you are not on any hormonal medication/contraception, you may find Menopause Support helpful.
This is known to gently raise and balance oestrogen thus lessening the symptoms. I would also suggest a magnesium supplement as this can often help with hormonal headaches and cramping.
Your doctor may be able to test your hormone levels and that would give you a better idea of what is happening.
