I had a partial hysterectomy 10 years ago, at the age of 45. Am I now going through the menopause?

Just to check that I have understood correctly - you are 55 now, and were 45 when you had the partial hysterectomy?

If you kept your ovaries and were not given HRT, then you may be moving into the menopause now.

However, there is no definite age when you can specifically say that the menopause has started - it depends on the level of oestrogen that your ovaries are producing. Do you have any symptoms?
