There are no indications that sage will cause weight gain so they should be fine to take.
Weight gain in the menopause is often caused by falling hormone levels accompanied by less activity, an increase in carbohydrate intake, or problems metabolizing carbohydrates. Small chanegs to your diet, such as cutting down carbohydrates and increasing protein and vegetables can help to maintain weight.
