Digestive problems are very common in the menopause and can be caused by several factors. Lowering levels of oestrogen can affect the digestion itself causing bloating and also lowering oestrogen can have an effect on carb metabolism making it more difficult to digest carbohydrates and this can often lead to bloating and wind and all sorts. All digestive problems are made worse by stress, and going through the menopause can be very stressful - hot flushes, as you have noticed, may exacerbate symptoms.
I would suggest Molkosan Vitality as this is traditionally used for sorting out digestive problems. Try to avoid white bread, pasta, cakes, biscuits and also white rice -you may notice a difference very quickly doing this! Also, don't drink for at least 20 minutes either side of meals, and ensure that you sit up really well whilst and after eating, with your shoulders back - this makes a big difference for reflux, as does taking Centaurium tincture before each meal. Chew your food very thoroughly - each mouthful at least 20 times. This is free and you'll find it hard to do but incredibly effective.
