Yes, falling oestrogen can have an effect on the digestive system.
Usually it tends to slow it down, causing symptoms such as indigestion, constipation, and bloating.
I would suggest trying Digestisan as this is traditionally used for such symptoms.
Make sure that you eat really slowly - eating too quick or on the run can be a contributory factor and drink plenty of plain water every day too, but not with your food!
Many women find that they start to have problems digesting carbohydrates. Have a look at what you are eating every day and, if your diet is high in carbohydrates, you could try cutting them right down for a few weeks to see if that helps. Remember to still have plenty of vegtables, good protein, and a little fruit.
Stress is another factor - the menopause itself stresses the whole body and if you have day to day stress as well this just compounds everything, so do try to have a little rest and relaxation every day as this is great for all menopause issues!
