I am sorry to hear that you have been unwell. I assume that the antibiotics have been prescribed by your doctor. As the cough has been persistent, you should really go back to your doctor and make it clear that the cough is still there.
There are a few possibilities that your doctor should consider:
1. The initial diagnosis was correct, but you need another type of antibiotic
2. There is another cause of your cough - for example, viral bronchitis, an allergy, asthma or perhaps gastric reflux where the acidic contents of your stomach travel upwards to the back of your throat and into your respiratory system, leading to a cough.
Standard guidance is that a cough lasting 2 months should be investigated further and your doctor should suggest test such as a chest x-ray and consider also other causes outside the respiratory system.
