Take the test now!Congestion does often get worse at night when we lie down. That's because, when we are standing mucus is able to drain away, but when we are lying down this isn't possible so it blocks up.
To ease the problem you could add an extra pillow or two keep your head propped up at night. This should help with draining the mucus.
If you are dehydrated it could worsen a dry and sore throat so i'd recommend getting your 1.5-2 litres a day and keep a big glass of water by your bed at night to stop your throat getting dry.
In addition to this, you may find it helpful to try our Pollinosan Nasal Spray. This cleanses the nose of allergens and in doing so soothes the area and relieves discomfort.
Plantago has also traditionally been used to ease ear, nose and throat problems. You could put a tiny amount of this on your pillow to help ease congestion during the night.
If you try some of these tips and the problem doesn't get any better then i'd recommend visiting your doctor for some further advice.
