Prostate enlargement is a very common condition associated with ageing. Over a third of all men over 50 years of age will have some symptoms of an enlarged prostate.
If you have been diagnosed with an enlarged prostate (BPH), this is a benign (non-cancerous) condition which includes bladder symptoms, such as frequent urination or weak stream. The doctor can usually of some sort of medication or treatment to help.
I would recommend that you seek an appointment with your doctor and discuss any concerns that you have with them as to whether your condition is benign.
