As I expect you know full well, having two children to run around after is very time consuming, and mothers in this position are rarely giving themselves time to eat in a relaxed and effective way (in fact I can almost hear you laughing at the concept of relaxed eating!).
So implementing mealtimes that involve sitting down, taking a breath, chewing each mouthful at least 20 times, and not continually jumping up to deal with other people’s eating needs, will be a big step towards less bloating.
You will also find that avoiding drinks for at least 20 minutes either side of food will help, as will keeping fruit away from other foods (have it first thing in the morning before your main breakfast, or around 3pm in the afternoon).
If your bowel doesn’t work at least once a day (preferably twice) then you will be more prone to bloating.
Drinking sufficient water every day (away from food!) helps with this. You may also find that a prebiotic supplement such as Molkosan Fruit will help.
