When you say that sugars are irritant to you, do you mean that when you eat fruit or veggies they affect you? Even if cooked? Cooking fruit and veg usually makes them easier to digest. Or do you mean that you have to have a low GI diet? In which case even pureeing the fruit and veg wouldn't make any difference. Pureeing just means you chew the food less, which is not a good thing, especially with IBS.
Rice cakes can be easy to digest if your digestive system is weak. However, it's best to have wholegrain and it's best not to have too many (no more than 3 at a time). Their real value is in giving you a replacement from bread, which is nearly always a struggle with IBS.
