Poor circulation is a common cause of leg cramp, though there are other things that could contribute to the problem as well such as:
• Magnesium deficiency
• Dehydration
• A sedentary lifestyle
• Injury
• Fatigue.
It is worth considering if any of these things could be at the root of your symptoms so that you can address the individual issue. So, keep your magnesium intake up by eating lots of fresh food like spinach, kale and bananas, and try to ensure you are drinking 1.5-2 litres of water a day. Some gentle stretching or low impact activities like swimming will also help to keep your muscles moving and hopefully prevent cramp.
You may also find it helpful to try our Balance Mineral Drink which contains a combination of magnesium, zinc, calcium, potassium and vitamin D which together help to support the muscles, bones and joints.
If these steps do not improve your symptoms then it may be worth visiting your doctor for further advice.
