A sore throat is a common allergy symptom. During a reaction, the mucous membranes that line the inside of the nose increase their production of mucus in order to wash out and trap allergens. This can then lead to a runny nose or, equally, the mucus can drip down the back of the throat. This irritates sensitive tissues there so that they eventually become tender. Also, the feeling of mucus dripping down the back of the throat may stimulate a cough which, if persistent, also contributes to a sore throat.
If you need to treat a sore throat I’d recommend our Echinaforce Sore Throat Spray. This is made from fresh Echinacea and sage to provide quick relief from the problem.
