Mould is a fungus that usually collects when there is a sudden increase in temperature in a moist environment. This might be when clothes are died next to a radiator for example, or when central heating is cranked up in a damp house. So, as it is something that occurs indoors when the conditions are right, it would be impossible to measure it in the same way we do pollen.
Pollen is released into the air by trees, weeds and grass when they go through a state fertilisation. To determine the pollen count, we measure the number of pollen grains in a cubic meter of air.
