For a sore throat a glass of warm water with a little honey and lemon in it is one of the best natural drinks you could have. The honey soothes the back of the throat whilst the lemon gives the drink a refreshing taste. It also provides a little bit of vitamin C which is very good for the health of the immune system.
As for tea, well I’d be tempted to opt for something like chamomile which contains chemical compounds that may help to reduce the inflammatory effects of histamine. Inflammation is often behind the discomfort in the throat during an allergy flare up. As well as this, chamomile is also very relaxing and so if your allergy symptoms are preventing you from getting a good night’s sleep, it may help with this too.
