Feeling tired after an eight hour sleep could mean a couple of things.
Firstly, everyone has their own individual need for sleep. Although the average requirement is 7-9 hours, some people may need more than the recognised ‘8 hours per night!’. This can have a lot to do with your genetic makeup but also your diet and lifestyle and circumstances at any one time; busier people or those fighting an underlying infection, for example, may need more sleep.
Next, despite assuming you are getting enough sleep, it’s possible that the quality of sleep you’re getting isn’t sufficient.
If you suspect this is the case, our sleep remedy Dormeasan, containing a combination of Valerian and Hops may help. Take 30 drops, 30 minutes before retiring to bed and you can also take an additional dose upon waking during the night, if need be. Limiting stimulants such as alcohol or caffeine in the later part of the day can also help to improve the quality of your sleep.
If you are feeling tired throughout the day, a dose of our Balance Mineral Drink may be helpful. This combines essential nutrients including vitamin D, magnesium, calcium, zinc and potassium which all play important roles in supporting energy processes in the body.
Eating a well-balanced diet and drinking plenty of water can also help you combat tiredness.
